If you celebrate commercialism (pretty much like I do), Merry Christmas...if you are of the jewish faith, Happy Hanukkah! If you are of the faith, a Happy Kwanzaa to you and yours.

...and if you are of the geek persuasion......Happy Life Day!! What?!? it's from Star Wars!! Look it up if you don't believe me.

In any case...here I am, just got off work and braved the grocery store for a few necessary items to suffice me until some time next week when the madness that is "Holiday Shopping" ends. Is it just me or do people, on the general, get really fucking stupid out there when going from store to store. Granted it was around 730am, a time when my favored store is barely occupied by the own staff and they are just finishing their stocking, but to see that many people grumbling around, trying to grab last minute food items because someone forgot to tell them that cousin jimmy is coming, and with his girlfriend.....seriously, I get it. However, this should not subtract your COMMON SENSE when in public....there is a turn lane for a reason folks, use it!! Don't turn into the CostCo parking lot from the left hand when the center turn lane is empty!!! Does that disabled license plate stand for you being a mental reject??!?!


(deep breathes) sigh...ok, im fine now....ahem, where was I...

oh yeah, festive holiday wishes....so, yes...I wish everyone out there who still somewhat follows me a happy and safe holiday weekend. With that, I leave you with quite possibly a potential runner up to my favorite "Holiday Lighting Project" video....



...you gotta admit, thats pretty awesome....."but, why is it a runner-up??" you may ask....because it simply still can not top (in my opinion) my favorite xmas light video.

...but it comes close! :D

6 hours of sleep.
5 hours till I can go home.
4 presents I HAVE to finish.
3 overdraft charges (on purchases less than $10).
2 kids that will get crap for christmas.
and a water disconnect notice.

My mother was in town this past weekend, and seeing how she wont be around for actual christmas this year...that side of my family got together on sunday to do the holiday thing. It wasn't a bad day, it was good to see my mom as usual. But the highlight, I think for some...was a rare moment when I sat down on the couch and my niece Michelle came up with the DVD player and a movie and we started watching together. Then my other neice, Samantha, wanted in on the action and well....you can see how my family thought it was adorable.

soo...yeah, my mom was all lit up on that one. I am starting to think that making one a grandmother, tends to push them that much closer to senility....dunno, working theory at least...
